Commercial Drywall — Hang & Finish

Hang and finish through Level 5, plus exterior gypsum sheathing.

Drywall dictates a project's ultimate finish quality. Achieving a uniform surface under unforgiving, raking light is what separates a clean handoff from an endless punch list. LCS delivers commercial drywall installation and finishing up to a Level 5, executed to exact architectural specifications. Because we supervise drywall alongside the metal framing behind it, we control quality from studs to the final paint-ready surface.

Hanging

Tight seams, correct fastener spacing, and smart board placement to keep butt joints to a minimum. Whether it's moisture-resistant, abuse-resistant, or a UL fire-rated assembly, we build it right to the detail.

Finishing — through Level 5

We finish to the drywall finish level specified, from taped-only up to a Level 5 skim coat where the lighting and paint sheen demand it. Consistent joints, clean corners, and surfaces that hold up under critical lighting.

  • Level 5 skim-coat finish
  • Fire- & sound-rated assemblies
  • Moisture- & abuse-resistant board
  • Clean corners & control joints

Exterior gypsum sheathing

We install exterior gypsum sheathing as part of the wall assembly, keeping the envelope coordinated with the framing scope instead of split across trades.

Framing and finishing, one contract

When one subcontractor carries both the framing and the drywall, the finisher isn't fighting someone else's out-of-tolerance wall. We coordinate and supervise both scopes, so straight framing sets up flat drywall — and one team owns the result.

FAQ

Drywall — questions

What is a Level 5 drywall finish?
A Level 5 finish adds a thin skim coat over the entire surface on top of a Level 4, giving the most uniform result under critical lighting and high-sheen paint. We finish to whatever level the spec requires, up to Level 5.
Do you both hang and finish drywall?
Yes — we take on both hanging and finishing under one scope, coordinated and supervised by one team, so accountability doesn't split between trades.
Can you build fire- and sound-rated walls?
Yes. We build rated assemblies to the listed UL/GA detail, including fire-, sound-, moisture-, and abuse-resistant systems.
Do you install exterior gypsum sheathing?
Yes, as part of the exterior wall assembly, coordinated with our framing scope.
